Presidential visit reinforces commitment to public health

In March, Américo Boavida Hospital welcomed a visit from His Excellency the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, accompanied by members of the Executive, the Ministry of Health, and project partners.

The visit reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening Angola’s public healthcare system. Since
December 2024, construction has progressed at a steady pace, aiming to deliver a modern, efficient and patient- centred hospital. The upgraded facility will feature specialised services, continuous training for medical staff, and improved working conditions. A transformative milestone for healthcare in Angola is well underway.
